Ford made an all-new Mustang just last year, but the 2016 does have some improvements and updates to some features. If you are in the market for a muscle car and live in Odessa, Lamesa, Snyder, or Midland, TX, you should be headed to Big Spring Ford, in Big Spring, TX to take Mustang for a spin.
The Dodge Challenger certainly has plenty of power, but it hasn’t been significantly updated in years, and it no match for the features of the new Mustang.
Both of these cars have powerful V8 motors available, but the Ford gives you other compelling options too. The base V6 Mustang with the 6 speed manual is a very enjoyable car to drive, and the EcoBoost Mustang turbo may actually be more fun that the V8 version. The base V6 powered Challenger makes slightly more power than the Mustang, but it is a heavier car, and only comes with an automatic transmission. Not only is the Mustang with the EcoBoost turbo a great handling car, but it also gets better fuel economy while making more power than either V6
The smaller, lighter Mustang has an advantage any time you turn a corner or step on the brakes. Parking it is easier too because the Mustang is nearly 10” shorter, with a 9” smaller wheelbase. Mustang is lower too. The turbo-powered EcoBoost Mustang is about 300lbs lighter than a Challenger V6, and Challenger V8 weighs even more.
No matter which Mustang you choose, you get standard performance features. The “Track Apps” programs are built into its infotainment system to record G-forces, 0-60 times and more, even for the base V6 Mustang. Challenger has similar apps in its system, but only at an extra cost, and only on the higher trim levels.
The Ford Mustang is an instantly recognizable classic, even the brand new, better than ever 2016 model. Big Spring Ford in Big Spring, TX has all the Mustangs, plus the entire lineup of Ford cars, SUVs and tough trucks, at prices that will make you smile.View Inventory
