Ford didn’t change a lot with the 2016 Fusion, but it was already one of the best-looking, best-driving cars in its class. If you are shopping for a new sedan and live near Big Spring, TX, get on over to Big Spring Ford, providing killer deals to customers from Midland, Odessa, Lamesa, and Snyder too.
The Honda Accord is always a favorite among midsize sedan buyers, but for 2016 it just falls short of the Fusion in style and features.
Both the Accord and the Fusion offer you choice in the engine compartment, but Ford gives you more. In the Accord you can get a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder or a 3.5 liter V6, and in the Fusion you can choose a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder, or EcoBoost turbo motors in 1.5 liter or 2.0 liter. Every Fusion is equipped with a 6 speed automatic transmission. Honda charges extra for the automatic, and with the 4 cylinder it is a CVT that can drone at higher rpm. Only Ford offers their sedan with optional all-wheel drive, the Accord in front wheel drive only.
Both of these cars are similarly sized, but Ford makes more effective use of the interior space. Fusion drivers can stretch out in front with 2” more legroom, and both rows have more headroom. The Fusion has a larger trunk too, plus a 60/40 folding rear seat. The Accord has a folding rear seat too, but it is not split, so you have to choose cargo or passenger space.
The Ford Sync system offered voice-controlled infotainment systems before nearly anyone, and the latest version in the Fusion is one of the best. In order to have the voice-controlled feature on the Accord, you need to move up to a trim level that includes navigation. Ford Fusion has a version of Sync as standard equipment even in the base model.
There is no denying the 2016 Ford Fusion is one of the best-looking cars in its class, but it has many other advantages too. Take one for a test drive today at Big Spring Ford in Big Spring, TX and it will be love at first sight.View Inventory
